“Gazprom Helium Service” and “Cryogenmash” discussed the import substitution possibilities on LNG-projects

25.03.2022

On the 21st of March, 2022, the delegation of “Gazprom Helium Service” LLC headed by General Director Lubov Brish, and with Vice-President of JSC “Gazprombank” Andrei Smirnov, visited the multiproduct research and production complex of PJSC “Cryogenmash”.

During the visit, the company's management familiarized with the production capacities and laboratory-testing facility of the largest domestic developer and manufacturer of technologies and equipment for natural gas liquefaction.

The parties discussed the development and implementation of LNG equipment and technologies within the import substitution program during the execution of “Gazprom Helium Service” LLC investment projects for LNG production complexes, the construction of which is provided by the company in several regions of Russia.

“Cryogenmash” has manufactured a number of natural gas liquefaction units operating on the pre-cooling high–pressure throttle-ejector cycle. The schematic diagram of this type of units includes the simplicity of structure and operation with high energy efficiency. More than 20 such units have been manufactured and are successfully operating within the capacity range from 0.3 to 3 tons of LNG per hour.

Currently, “Cryogenmash” is implementing the project in Tatarstan on building the low-tonnage natural gas liquefaction plant with capacity of 1.5 tons of LNG per hour, including the LNG storage, transportation and filling system. In 2021, design works, concerning this facility, were completed; equipment for natural gas preparation and liquefaction, and storage system based on two vertical cryogenic tanks with capacity of 63 m3 each were manufactured and shipped. At this time construction, installation and commissioning works are being completed here. Also, “Cryogenmash” is providing the design and manufacture of the main process equipment for the natural gas liquefaction with capacity of 1.5 tons per hour for “Kargala” LNG complex in the Tomsk Region.
