Plants types

Low-Pressure Oxygen Plants (0.6 MPa)

are intended for production of gaseous oxygen as a main product, nitrogen and argon, as well as a small portion of these products (up to 3 % of the air volume being processed) in a liquid state or at a high pressure (up to 4.0 MPa). Besides, there may be obtained such rare gases as krypton-xenon concentrate and neon-helium mixture.

Two main types of the plants are available:

  • the plants Type ÀÊÀð serve the purpose of separating air with capacities ranging from 1000 to 35000 m3/hr of oxygen with 99.5-99.8% purity. The product pure nitrogen (0.0001-0.0005 Î2) can be obtained in amounts from 3000 to 115000 m3 /hr. The argon (up to 10 ppm of admixtures) is produced directly in the plant by the method of low-temperature distillation in the columns with a structured packing. Degree of product recovery: oxygen – 0.95-0.98, nitrogen – up to 0.77, argon – 0.75, and over. Specific power consumption – for oxygen 0.38-0.45 kW*hr/m3 ;
    the plants Type Êò (ÀÊò) – enable to obtain gaseous oxygen of reduced purity (80-95%) and pure gaseous nitrogen. Specific power consumption for oxygen – 0.38-0.45 kW*hr/m3 .
  • The oxygen plants with internal compression are intended for delivery of the separation products under pressure directly from a plant (oxygen up to 4.0 MPa, nitrogen – up to 6.0 MPa). Specific power consumption for oxygen – 0.6-0.7 kW*hr/m3 .

Low-pressure nitrogen plants (0.6-0.9 MPa)

provide a means for production of pure gaseous nitrogen (0.0001-0.0005% Î2 ) at a pressure of 0.6-0.75 MPa and for its delivery to consumer without any intermediate compression. In the plants there may be produced small amounts of liquid oxygen and nitrogen, and high-pressure oxygen (up to 4.0 MPa).

Two types of the plants are fabricated:

  • with single-column distillation apparatus – for the plants with capacities ranging from 500 to 8000 v3/hr. Portion of product nitrogen – 0.4-0.42, specific power consumption – 0.25-0.3 kW*hr/m3;
  • with double-column distillation apparatus – for the plants producing more than 8000 m3/hr. Portion of product nitrogen – up to 0.6, specific power consumption – 0.16-0.18 kW*hr/m3 .

Liquid plants Type ÊæÀæÀðæ

are intended for production of liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon at a pressure of up to 0.3 MPa with total capacities ranging from 500 to 6000 kg/hr. Specific power consumption - from 1.5 kW*hr/kg (for small plants) and up to 0.8 kW*hr/kg.

Liquefaction plants

are intended for liquefaction of surplus gaseous nitrogen and oxygen obtained in the air separation plants with the purpose of accumulation for peak-shaving periods or for selling to outside consumers. Capacity - 1000-5000 kg/hr. Specific power consumption – 0.55-0.8 kW*hr/kg.
