Low-Pressure Oxygen Plants (0.6 MPa)are intended for production of gaseous oxygen as a main product, nitrogen and argon, as well as a small portion of these products (up to 3 % of the air volume being processed) in a liquid state or at a high pressure (up to 4.0 MPa). Besides, there may be obtained such rare gases as krypton-xenon concentrate and neon-helium mixture. Two main types of the plants are available:
Low-pressure nitrogen plants (0.6-0.9 MPa)provide a means for production of pure gaseous nitrogen (0.0001-0.0005% Î2 ) at a pressure of 0.6-0.75 MPa and for its delivery to consumer without any intermediate compression. In the plants there may be produced small amounts of liquid oxygen and nitrogen, and high-pressure oxygen (up to 4.0 MPa). Two types of the plants are fabricated:
Liquid plants Type ÊæÀæÀðæare intended for production of liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon at a pressure of up to 0.3 MPa with total capacities ranging from 500 to 6000 kg/hr. Specific power consumption - from 1.5 kW*hr/kg (for small plants) and up to 0.8 kW*hr/kg. Liquefaction plantsare intended for liquefaction of surplus gaseous nitrogen and oxygen obtained in the air separation plants with the purpose of accumulation for peak-shaving periods or for selling to outside consumers. Capacity - 1000-5000 kg/hr. Specific power consumption – 0.55-0.8 kW*hr/kg. |
